DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Commissioners’ Sept. 22, 2026 regular meeting started at 9:30 a.m., with Commissioners Aultman, Combs, and Flatter present. The Commissioners then approved the minutes from September 17TH.
The Commissioners introduced and approved the examination and allowance of bills for September 22. The General Fund total was $5,858.85; the Outside funds were $117,467.09, totaling $123,325.94.
Darke County Common Pleas had a transfer of appropriations approved for $2,000.00 to cover limited-scope representation for the rest of the year.
The Commissioners approved a supplemental agreement with Butler, Fairman & Seufert Inc. to add two additional years to their Master Services Agreement.
Vehicle Maintenance Technician Tom Stevenson had a rate-of-pay change effective Sept. 7, 2026.
Patriot Engineering and the Grants Dept. have an agreement under the Brownfield Remediation Grant for a property at a Birds Gas station, 8461 Laura-Pitsburg Road, Pitsburg, Ohio, for $290,000.00 to perform demolition, source investigations, and other studies over the next 21 ½ months.
The Brownfield Grant will also be used for the old filling station on Pine Street in Greenville with MAKSolve for a total of $41,000.00
A Post Asbestos Abatement inspection for various projects(Project #26743) was approved between the Commissioners and Turn-Key Environmental Consultants Inc. Seven properties are involved at a cost of $260 per property or $1820.00.
