The Darke County Foundation would like to thank Reid Health for serving as the lead sponsor of the Sunshine 5K Run/Walk on Sat., Sept. 19, in Greenville City Park. An optional 1-mile run/walk is available.
The Sunshine events will raise funds for several local non-profit organizations, including the Cancer Association of Darke County, DeColores Montessori School, Final Bow Performing Arts, Darke County Pregnancy Help Center, Edison College Foundation, LifeWise Academy Greenville, and Darke County Senior Center.
Reid Health is headquartered in Richmond, Indiana, and has a Greenville facility at 1101 Jackson St. The 34,000-square-foot complex houses Bethel Cardiology and other specialties offered by the Reid Health system.
Runners and walkers at the Sunshine Run/Walk will enjoy a scenic 5K route throughout the park and over the swinging bridge. Enjoy free homemade cookies, fruit, drinks, and age-group award medals (5K only). Entry fee is $25 (age 15 and over) or $20 (age 14 and under). Limited shirts are available. Ages 14 and under can register for $5 with no shirt. The free kids’ 400-meter fun run is at 8:15 am.
