GREENVILLE – After a busy summer, Greenville Public Library is welcoming the community back to a full schedule of familiar favorites and new opportunities this fall.
Beginning in September, regular programming for children and adults will return to the library, offering opportunities to read, create, build, and connect.
Programs for Kids
-Storytime returns in September and will be held every Tuesday and Wednesday at 11 a.m. Storytime offers young children and their caregivers a chance to enjoy stories, songs, and activities together in a fun and welcoming environment.
-LEGO Club also returns this fall. Young builders can join the library on the first Thursday of each month at 4:30 p.m. for an opportunity to build, create, and let their imaginations take the lead.
-The library is also excited to launch its newest children’s program, Kids Art Club, beginning Thursday, September 10 at 4:30 p.m. Designed for children ages 8–12, Kids Art Club will meet on the second Thursday of each month and give young artists a chance to explore different creative projects and techniques. The new club is being launched by Children’s Librarian Ashley Cook.
Programs for Adults
-Adults can reconnect with some favorite library programs this fall, beginning with Sassy Stitchers, a casual, drop-in fiber arts group that meets on the first and fourth Tuesday of each month from 12–2 p.m. Participants are welcome to bring their current projects, work alongside others, share ideas, or simply enjoy some creative time together.
-Color & Connect will also return as a regular monthly program. Meeting on the second Thursday of each month from 11 a.m.–1 p.m., this casual drop-in gathering invites adults to relax, color, create, and connect with others in the community.
“Fall is always an exciting time at the library as our regular programs return and we get to introduce new opportunities for our community,” said Nikki Levek, Adult Programming Specialist. “Whether you’re looking for a storytime with your little one, a creative outlet, or simply a chance to spend some time with others, there’s something for everyone.”
