DARKE COUNTY – On August 7, 2026 at approximately 11:35 am, Darke County Deputies along with Gettysburg Fire, Gettysburg Rescue and CareFlight, were dispatched to the 8100 block of US 36 East in reference to a two-vehicle injury accident.
Preliminary investigation revealed a blue 2013 Nissan Murano driven by, Teresa Meredith (62) of Greenville was traveling eastbound on US RT 36 E attempting to turn into the Flower Barrel. Meredith turned in front of a westbound 2014 Lincoln driven by Carmen Watt (67) of Greenville. Both vehicles struck head-on, causing the Lincoln to travel off the right side of the roadway, coming to rest in a construction site.
Watt was transported to Upper Valley Medical Center by Gettysburg Rescue with minor injuries. Meredith was transported to Miami Valley Hospital by CareFlight; her condition is unknown.
