TROY – Rumpke of Ohio, Inc., the city’s curbside recycling contractor, runs the “Look Who Is Recycling” program as a tool to encourage residential recycling. Awards are given quarterly to City of Troy residents who actively recycle and share their reasons for doing so.
At the July 20 City Council meeting, Mayor Robin Oda announced the winner for the second quarter of 2026. Congratulations to Ainsley Savard, this quarter’s winner!
For the question of “why is it important to recycle only acceptable items,” Ainsley wrote. “It’s important I recycle only acceptable items because I want to ensure that all of my recyclables make it through the process. Taking time to rinse containers before recycling helps prevent contamination of my other products.”
Thanks for entering and for being a great recycler!
