DARKE COUNTY – The Board announces three new at-large members elected in late June to serve three-year terms from 2026 to 2027.
Peg Ferguson brings 30 years of experience with Epsilon Sigma Alpha International, a philanthropic organization supporting children, along with 20 years as a Fashion Bug manager in Greenville and surrounding communities.
Tammy Eichler has become increasingly active with Darke County Seniors since the loss of her husband in September 2025. The center has helped her discover new interests, meet new people, and find joy in serving others.
Doris Ely has actively served her community and county since retiring. She has served on the Darke County Republican Party Central Committee and the Darke County Republican Women’s Club, worked as an election poll worker, and accepted an appointment to City Council. Her council assignment with the Council on Aging makes her a natural fit for the DCS board.
They join President Mary Rodeheffer, Vice President Denise Palivec, Treasurer Carol Hosbrook-Cole, Secretary Theresa Kress, board members-at-large Shelly Acker and Mary Ann Radar, past president Wally Wollenhaupt, and Kathy Monnin Gigandet, who serves ex officio.
The DCS Board reminds those who have expiring membership that renewals should be completed by July 31st. This can be done by visiting the center during office hours Monday – Thursday 10:00 am – 2:00 pm or contacting the office by calling or texting (937) 794-2556.
