GREENVILLE — As the nation prepares to celebrate its 250th birthday, Greenville-based Troy Sunshade is honoring the historic milestone with a special commemorative American flag that is made entirely in the United States.
Located at 607 Riffle Avenue, Troy Sunshade has begun producing limited-edition 250th anniversary flags to commemorate the nation’s semiquincentennial celebration.
“It’s our nation’s 250th birthday, so we decided to make some commemorative 250th flags celebrating the 250th year of our country,” said John Baumgardner of Troy Sunshade.
The commemorative flags are currently available for purchase at the company’s Greenville location from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Customers can stop by the facility and pick up their flags directly.
“We have them ready to go,” Baumgardner said.
The company plans to manufacture the special flags for a limited time and will evaluate customer demand over the coming months.
“It is a limited time, so we are going to make them for the next couple of months and see how well they sell,” he said.
The 3-foot-by-5-foot commemorative flags are priced at $49 each.
Baumgardner emphasized that the flags reflect Troy Sunshade’s longstanding commitment to American manufacturing.
“The flags are one hundred percent American-made,” said Baumgardner. “Every stitch, everything on the flag from the grommet to printing, everything is made in the USA.”
