DARKE COUNTY – On Tuesday at approximately 4:23 p.m. Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Township Fire and Rescue and Greenville City Fire, responded to the 7300 block of SR 121 for a two-vehicle head-on crash with injuries.
Preliminary investigation revealed a silver Chevy Equinox driven by Anthony Mader (70) of Bradford, and front seat passenger Lori Perkins (47) of Greenville, were traveling southbound on SR 121 and crossed the centerline, colliding head-on with a maroon/silver Ford dually pick-up truck driven by Christian Madowell (19) of Greenville. The truck then traveled off the right side of the roadway, overturning two times, which caused the cab of the truck to break off the frame, coming to rest upside down with the driver trapped inside. The driver was mechanically extricated from the cab. This driver was transported to Miami Valley Hospital aboard MedFlight for suspected serious injuries.
The driver and passenger of the Equinox were transported to Wayne HealthCare for suspected minor injuries. It’s suspected that the driver of the Equinox suffered a medical event, which caused him to travel left-of-center.
The Darke County Sheriff’s Office Accident Reconstruction Team also assisted with this investigation.
