DARKE COUNTY – On Monday, at approximately 7:12 a.m. Darke County Deputies, along with Pitsburg Fire Department and Arcanum Rescue and CareFlight, responded to the intersection of SR 49 and Red River-West Grove Road for a two-vehicle injury crash.
Preliminary investigation revealed a red Hyundai Sonata driven by Allyson Waymire (18) of Englewood was traveling northwest on SR 49 when she collided with a black Lexus driven by Christopher Wilkins (44) of Laura who was stopped at the stop sign and then pulled out into the intersection.
Waymire was transported to Miami Valley Hospital aboard CareFlight and Wilkins was uninjured in the crash.
