DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Commissioners, Aaron Flatter, Marshall Combs, and Matt Aultman were present at the July 10th meeting. The regular session began at 1:30 in the Administration Building. On the agenda was the regular session minutes from July 8th, which passed unanimously.

The examination and allowance of bills were presented for July 10th. The vouchers, including any “then and now” certificates in the amount of the General Fund, were $50,300.65. Outside General Funds of $472,265.70 combined for a total of $522,566.35 were unanimously approved.

A transfer of Appropriations for the D.C. Jobs and Family Services for $75,000.00 to the Darke County, Ohio, Means Jobs Relocation was approved.

Vehicle Maintenance declared a 2007 Chevrolet 1500 pickup truck as junk and was accepted by the Commissioners.

Engineering services for the Garst Avenue Government Center were quoted by Facility Investment Retrofit Maintenance for $49,200.00. The total budget estimate with construction is estimated between $999,200.00 and $1,299,200.00

Darke County Veterans had two expense requests. Attending the OSAVSC Summer Convention will be Jennifer Anthony, Gaylen Blosser, Scott Riffel, and Chris Rehmert, for a total of $2,560.00. Wesley Cothran will attend the OSAVSC New Commissioners training and Summer Convention. The estimated total will be $660.00.

Joshua Baker was appointed as a seasonal mower for Ditch Maintenance effective July 14th, 2025.

Walls Bros. Asphalt received its construction contract for resurfacing County and Township roads this year from the OPWC and the County. The total cost will be $2,523,386.50. Ten Township roads and four County roads are included.

The Commissioners transferred $42,440.93 to Ditch Maintenance for expenses for the 2nd quarter of this year. It was an outside fund to an outside fund transfer.
