DARKE COUNTY – The I Am Well Foundation, in partnership with Darke County Seniors, and with support from the United Way Community Fund of Darke County, invites Darke County residents aged 55 and older to Celebrate You Naturally: A Wellness Experience for Seniors, on Thursday, July 31, from 1:00–4:00 PM at the Birchwood Training and Senior Center, 5844 Jaysville-St Johns Rd., Greenville.
This free afternoon wellness event is designed to help seniors age well by exploring tools and practices that support physical, emotional, mental, and social well-being. The experience begins with a brief wellness self-assessment and a group welcome, followed by breakout sessions where participants can explore supportive services and engaging activities that align with the Whole Person-Centered Optimal Health and Wellness Model of the I Am Well Foundation.

Several community organizations and individuals will also be on site, offering essential health services and helpful resources:
- Joy Roseberry – Offers Chair Yoga for Darke County Seniors on Tuesdays and Thursdays, will also be doing group chair yoga mini sessions.
- Sarah Royer – The Natural Path will share information about herbs and supplements to increase awareness.
- Darke County Health Department – Vaccinations available for RSV, Prevnar 20, TDAP, and Shingles.
- Wayne HealthCare – Blood pressure checks and information on wellness programs.
- Area Agency on Aging – Information on aging well and caregiver support.
Senior Concierge Services, powered by Electronic Caregiver – Details on alert pendants and a home safety checklist. - 4 A Flourishing Life Network – Aging Well information and practices.
- Blue Lantern Tea – Jesse Berry will share information about tea.
Participants will also enjoy healthy refreshments, hydration stations with water and tea, and meaningful moments of connection throughout the day.
“This event is about honoring the full journey of aging—supporting people with practices they can use daily to feel better, live fully, and stay connected,” says Shelly Acker, Co-Founder of I Am Well Foundation. “We’re excited to offer tools like breathwork and body-based wellness, while also connecting people with community resources that promote real, everyday well-being.”
