Yorkshire man causes multi-vehicle crash

DARKE COUNTY – On Friday at approximately 1:19 PM Darke County Deputies along with Greenville Fire, Greenville Township Fire and Greenville Township Rescue were dispatched to US 127 and Children’s Home Bradford Road in reference to a three-vehicle injury accident.

Preliminary investigation revealed a black 2016 Dodge Charger, driven by Brandon Pleiman (21) of Yorkshire was stopped eastbound at the posted stop sign on Children’s Home Bradford Road at US R127. Pleiman attempted to cross US 127 when he struck a northbound silver 2012 Honda Odyssey, driven by Sarah Edwards (39) of Versailles. The Honda was forced into a black 2011 Dodge Charger, driven by Jeremy Hodge (48) of Greenville. Hodge was stopped westbound on Children’s Home Bradford Road at the posted stop sign.

Pleiman was treated and released from the scene. Edwards and her ten and thirteen-year-old passengers were taken to Wayne HealthCare by Greenville Township Rescue with minor injuries. Hodge and his fourteen-year-old passenger were treated and released from the scene.

Pleiman was issued a citation for failure to yield after a clearly marked stop sign.
