GREENVILLE—The Spring Fling Women Equal Justice “Breaking Glass Ceilings” event was held on Friday evening, April 21, at the Sure Shot Tap House in Greenville.

A full house heard from Montgomery County Commissioners Judy Dodge and Deb Lieberman, who discussed women’s equal pay and the basic 50/50 plans advocated by many organizations.

The color for Sexual Assault Awareness Month is teal.

In honor of April being Sexual Assault Awareness Month, all funds raised from the affair were donated to the Darke County Shelter from Violence, and it’s coordinator Annie Sonner also spoke to the attendees.

A water color painting of a sexual assault survivor, who recently passed away, painted by local artist John Buell was offered as a fund raiser through a silent auction. Door prizes were also given away.

The Event was co-sponsored by Darke Women United, Darke County Farmers Union, DFL and the Darke County Democratic Party.
