I hope this Newsletter finds you well. Some rains this past week help Darke County stay out of the abnormally dry designation (https://droughtmonitor.unl.edu/CurrentMap/StateDroughtMonitor.aspx?OH). Pesticide applications continue as the crops progress through their reproductive stages. Common weeds have included waterhemp, jimsonweed, wild carrot, giant ragweed, and velvetleaf. Remember to stay safe on the roads as farm equipment travels from place to place.
If you’re interested in the next Darke County Garden Roundtable, our next session will be held at the OSU Extension Office August 20th at 6:00 p.m.
I will also be at Worch Library on August 27th at 6:00 p.m. to discuss Rain Barrels. I hope to see you there!
