SPRINGFIELD – On Saturday, February 22nd the Greenwave wrestling team competed in the Southwest Division II Sectional Tournament held at Springfield Northwestern High School.
The Wave wrestlers held strong as a team and took the lead for first place all the way up to the finals round out of 13 teams. Going into the final matches the wave was tied with Benjamin Logan at 186.5.
Coach Guillozet “I am proud of all our boys for our second-place finish at sectionals. They wrestled hard and physically every match and did a great job. I’m very excited to see how our nine district qualifiers do when they compete at districts this coming weekend.”
Out of 14 weight classes, the Greenwave had a total of nine qualifiers and two alternates!
