TWIN TOWNSHIP – Kellan Duffy will appear on the ballot this November for Twin Township Trustee. Twin Township includes Arcanum, Ithaca, Gordon, and the surrounding rural communities of southern Darke County.
Who is Kellan Duffy?
- Lifelong member of and baptized at Salem Church of God.
- Lifelong conservative Republican who has worked on over a dozen campaigns.
- Graduate of Anderson University (IN) and current law student at the University of Dayton School of Law.
- Currently prosecuting crimes in the Miami Valley, working to keep families safe and ensure justice is served.
- Acting Chairman of the Darke County Young Republicans, a new chapter launched to keep young conservatives engaged locally.
- Born and raised just off Route 49 and now a proud resident of the Village of Gordon.
- Comes from middle-class, blue-collar roots, with six years of experience in automotive maintenance.
- A common-sense conservative who believes in fiscal responsibility and cutting unnecessary red tape. Government should serve the people, not the other way around.

Transparency and Accountability
Duffy believes Twin Township has fallen behind other Ohio townships in communication. He plans to establish a township website and social media page to connect residents with updates and ensure trustees’ work is visible. He also supports joining the Ohio Treasurer’s “Ohio Checkbook” program, which makes township finances transparent and accessible to all. In addition, he will work to ensure meeting minutes and township updates are posted online so residents can stay informed even if they can’t attend meetings in person.
Responsible Spending
Duffy pledges to ensure every tax dollar is used wisely. He plans to focus on repairing and maintaining township equipment and infrastructure to allow more work to be done in-house. He also aims to support local businesses and entrepreneurs to strengthen the township economy. With his legal training and upcoming Juris Doctor degree, he will help ensure the township remains in compliance with all spending and operational laws.
Community Input
Duffy believes trustees should listen first. He plans to host town hall forums and encourage residents to share ideas and concerns outside of regular meetings. By communicating proactively, Duffy hopes to identify and address issues before they become larger problems.
Service in the Township
Guided by Scripture — “Serve one another humbly in love” — Duffy says he views public service as a calling. He promises to ensure every resident has a voice and to help connect people with the resources they need, whether or not the issue falls directly under trustee duties. He also hopes to sponsor and promote community events that bring residents together and build township pride.
Duffy has been endorsed by the Ohio Young Republicans and the Greater Dayton Young Republicans.
