VERSAILLES – Versailles is inviting you to visit the 74th Annual Poultry Days, June 13-15. Be part of history as Poultry Days makes it official…Versailles is the home of the World’s Largest Chicken BBQ. Visit the festival over the weekend or participate in the “official” event on Sunday, June 15.
Poultry Days was established in 1952 to celebrate the area’s Poultry Production history. The festival has been conducted for 74 years without interruption, including during the 2020 pandemic. Over those years, the festival has served over 1.2 million dinners and plans to serve at least 40,000 dinners in 2025. This success is more important given the area’s recent struggles with Avian Influenza.
Join us Sunday, June 15, from 3:30-4 pm as we claim the title as World’s Largest Chicken Barbecue. Past festival leaders and VIPs will gather. Early RSVPs include State Senator Susan Manchester, Darke County Commissioner Matt Aultman and Versailles Mayor Todd Dammeyer. Additional VIPs are expected.
The event will be held in the gym on festival grounds located at 580 South Center Street, Versailles, Ohio. Parking (across the street) at Worch Library, 790 S. Center St., Versailles. Avoid entering Versailles on 185 from the South as that direction will be occupied by the chicken line drive-thru.
