
MIAMI COUNTY – On Wednesday, September 24th, the Versailles FFA Soil Judging team
participated in the District Soils in Miami County. The Versailles FFA Rural Soil Judging Team placed 1st overall in the district contest out of 31 teams.
Team members included Gracie Henry, 2nd overall, Adam Rauh, 6th overall, Gabe McGlinch, 8th overall and Patrick McGlinch, 11th overall. Additional team members Drew Geisendorff, Ben Kaiser and Jake Bergman over 273 individuals, participated in the rural soil judging contest.
As part of the contest, they evaluated 4 soil judging pits, took a written test and a test over a soil survey. Thank you to Jon Bergman for supplying a practice pit.
Congratulations and this team will advance to the state on Oct 11th.
