COLUMBUS – Versailles FFA members Nick Gehret, Zac Bartram and Zander Keller competed for the first time ever in the State FFA Ag Mechanics Engineering Contest and placed 11th.
Zac, Nick and Zander competed on May 1st State FFA Convention and welded a trailer onsite Nick, Zac and Zander first turned in a portfolio that contained information related to designing a trailer including the motivation behind the project, bill of materials, cut list, design process, blue prints, tool list, cost and steps in order to complete the project. At the State FFA Convention, Zac, Nick and Zander welded a trailer based on the specifications in a 3-hour time span. In addition, they took a test and turned in a complete portfolio.
