VERSAILLES – On September 27th and 28th the Versailles High School Class of 1974 celebrated their 50th class reunion.
The weekend was planned by Mary Jo (Poeppelman) Roush, Dianne (Shellhase) Wells and KimBerry (Brandon) Schulte. It started Friday night at Silas for an informal get-together and continued into Saturday at Stillwater Valley Golf. The night began with Terry Poling reading each of our 18 deceased classmates’ names. Jim Keyser followed with a prayer before meal and Kevin Reck gave a champagne toast to our fifty years.
After dinner, Jill (Parin) Grimes read her Salutatorian address which we actually listened to this time. Mary (Gasson) Trego then read her Historian address which was quite humorous. Mary Jo (Poeppppelman) Roush followed up with 1974 trivia.
A PowerPoint of pictures sent to the committee from classmates and 70’s music ran all night long. It was our weekend and year to celebrate 50 years!
