Vehicle theft leads to pursuit and crash in Greenville, suspect airlifted

GREENVILLE – At approximately 3:45 a.m. on June 22, 2025, officers from the Greenville Police Department were dispatched to the northern area of the city in response to a reported vehicle theft. Upon arrival, officers located the stolen vehicle traveling near North Broadway Street.

An officer attempted to initiate a traffic stop, but the suspect fled, leading to a short pursuit. The chase ended when the suspect crashed the stolen vehicle into a traffic circle and subsequently into a building located in the 300 block of South Broadway.

The suspect, an 18-year-old male from Dayton, was apprehended at the scene. He sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported via CareFlight to a medical facility in the Dayton area for treatment.

The suspect is facing multiple felony charges in connection with this incident.
