Union City PD arrest James Bush for strangulation, drug possession charges

UNION CITY – The Union City Police Department announces the arrest of James S. Bush III on Monday on several felony charges, including strangulation and drug possession.

James S. Bush III was taken into custody earlier today pursuant to an active warrant for Strangulation. During the arrest, it was discovered that Bush was in possession of cocaine and methamphetamine. Bush, who is currently on pre-trial services following his release on bond for charges of Possession of Drugs and Possessing a Firearm Under Disability, now faces additional charges related to drug possession.

“The Union City Police Department remains committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of our community,” stated Director of Public Safety, Mark Ater. “The arrest of James S. Bush III underscores our dedication to removing criminal activity and drugs from our streets.”

Bush was promptly placed into the custody of the on-duty jail staff at the Darke County Sheriff’s Office. He is currently awaiting arraignment.
