Union City girls fall to Lady Blackhawks

UNION CITY, Ind. – The Lady Indians fell to the Mississinawa Valley Lady Blackhawks in a close cross-town match-up, 54-51. They were led in scoring by Lulu with 25 points and 11 rebounds. Reichard added 15 points and 2 assists. Fischer dropped in 9 and Kerns had 6 rebounds. Union City came out ready to go, getting a quick lead on the Lady Blackhawks and led 33-22 at the half. A big 3rd quarter from the Blackhawks would result in a tie-ball game entering the 4th. The game was back and forth from then on.

The Lady Indians had a look at the buzzer to tie the game, but the shot wouldn’t fall. They fought hard and never backed down. They are now 10-12 and will play at Hagerstown on Friday for the last regular season game.
