GETTYSBURG – The Unger Homestead recently opened their second annual Fall Festival at their farm located at 6998 Horatio New Harrison Rd.
Again, this year is their Harvest Barn, stocked with Pumpkins, gourds, Indian Corn and popcorn bundles, Corn Shocks, Honey, Crafts, Mums and more. Ninety percent of what we sell was raised on their farm.
The Pasture Playground is open again as well with more than 30 activities for kids and adults alike!
Climb on the bale tower, slides, pumpkin bowling, corn pit, a yard pool table, plenty of photo ops for the kids and more! Take the hay ride back to Kyrie’s U-Pick pumpkin patch and pick a pumpkin of your own. Kyrie planted over 30 varieties of pumpkins and gourds this year.
New this year is the 9-acre custom-cut corn maze. The family decided to design it to recognize the Anniversary of the Gettysburg Rural Fire Department’s 70th year protecting the residents of the area. A portion of proceeds from the corn maze admission will go towards the Gettysburg Rural Fire Department for needed equipment and also to the Darke County Fire Chiefs Association which is in the process of raising funds for a needed regional training tower here in Darke County.
The Unger Homestead can schedule days during the week and evenings for large groups, birthday parties, school field trips, and team-building events. We have plenty of free parking for cars and buses. Contact them on their Facebook page or their website at www.ungerhomestead.com for available dates and pricing details. Dates are available now through October 31st.
