UC Lady Indians earn comeback win over South Adams

UNION CITY, IN – The Union City Lady Indians battled to a 43-41 home win over the South Adams Lady Starfires.

The teams played to a 19-19 first-half score, with the visiting Lady Starfires taking a 31-27 advantage after three-quarters of play. Union City

Gabby Ordonez drilled some key 3-pointers late in the fourth quarter, and Ava Reichard went 4-4 from the charity stripe to help give the Lady Indians a come-from-behind win.

Oaklee Reichard led Union City with 24 points, eight rebounds, and six steals. Ava Reichard pulled down nine rebounds, and Ordonez chipped in with 14 points.

The Lady Indians shot an impressive 14-17 at the free-throw line, including 8-9 by O. Reichard and 5-6 by A. Reichard, for 82.4 percent shooting.

With the win, the Lady Indians improved to 2-3 on the season. They will not return to action until December 4th, when they travel to Monroe Central for a varsity game only.
