DOMESTIC VIOLENCE
March 26, 2025 – At approximately 10:55 pm, Troy Officers were dispatched to 179 Southview in reference to a Domestic. Subject arrested. Charges filed.
March 27, 2025 – At 4:23 pm at 536 Meadow Lane, I came in contact with a subject in reference to a domestic report. As a result, a male subject was arrested and charged with domestic violence.
FOUND PROPERTY
March 25, 2025 – At approximately 8:15 am, I was dispatched to 1582 McKaig Ave on a report of a bicycle chained to the business’s property. Upon my arrival, I spoke with the reporting party, Bruce Shroyer, who advised that a bicycle was chained to his business’s sign. I then observed a Kent Ambush bicycle with no seat attached to the front. I utilized bolt cutters to cut the chain, and then I transported the bike to the Troy Police Department where I chained it in the garage as found property.
I ran the bike make/model and serial number through SPILLMAN and did not receive a return.
HARASSMENT
March 27, 2025 – I was dispatched to a telecommunications harassment at the Family Abuse Shelter. A report was taken.
HOMELESS
March 24, 2025 – Three homeless individuals were “camping” in Prouty Plaza. They were informed of the ordinances restricting that and told to move along. All individuals refused assistance in finding shelter. A referral was made to Adult Protective Services due to the age of one of the individuals.
SEX OFFENSE
March 21, 2025 – While on patrol, I was dispatched to the Troy Police Department 124 E. Main St., in reference to a sex offense. A report was taken.
SUSPENDED DRIVER
March 21, 2025 – A traffic stop was initiated near the intersection of Archer Drive and Brukner Drive. The driver was issued citations for driving under suspension and lights required.
THEFT
March 26, 2025 – I was dispatched to 5 S Market St. in reference to a theft. The investigation is ongoing.
TRAFFIC OFFENSE
March 25, 2025 – At around 6:45 pm I was parked stationary in my patrol car in the turnaround for Hobart Arena on Adams St. when I noticed a black Honda Accord with a white license plate registration sticker from 2024. I then quickly drove to catch up with the vehicle to run the license plate. Once on N. Elm St., I ran the LP JSP 7032 through Spillman and Leads.
The vehicle returned with expired registration as of 09/14/2024 and to a registered owner of Karoly Timmons for a black 2016 Honda Accord. I then turned on my overhead emergency lights and stopped the vehicle at the S and G Gas Station located at 801 W. Main St. in Troy.
I then approached the vehicle and spoke with Karoly and notified him that the reason I stopped him today was for an expired registration. Karoly stated he understood and then proceeded to explain that he does not drive this vehicle often and that he usually drives his work truck.
I told Karoly that I would be issuing a citation today and he stated he understood.
I issued a citation for an expired license plate.
UNRULY JUVENILE
March 25, 2025 – I responded to Cookson Elementary School, located at 921 Mystic Lane, in reference to an unruly juvenile complaint. A report was completed for information purposes. Case closed.
March 26, 2025 – While on patrol, I was dispatched to the Rec 11 N. Market St in reference to a juvenile assault, a report was taken.
WARRANT
March 22, 2025 – While on patrol, I conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the entrance of I-75 northbound on ramp. The driver of the vehicle was arrested on an outstanding felony warrant.
Additionally, the driver was cited for driving under suspension, a faulty muffler and was charged with possession of drug paraphernalia.
March 23, 2025 – Vehicle stopped for no headlights. A male was arrested on an active warrant.
