Troy drama students to perform two shows this weekend

TROY – The Troy High School Drama Department will present Xanadu Junior this Friday (Nov. 15) and Saturday (Nov. 16) in the Troy High School auditorium. The showtimes are 7 p.m. both nights.

Xanadu Junior is a musical comedy based on the 1980 film of the same name. The film started 80s icon Olivia-Newton John.

“What more could people want?” said show director and Troy High School teacher Irene Imboden. “It’s fun. It’s the 80s. It’s Olivia-Newton John. The kids in the company have been working incredibly hard, while also having a lot of fun, because it is a fun show. I would encourage everyone to come see it. It will be a lot of fun for everyone!”

Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for students. Tickets can be purchased in advance in the Troy High School main office during school hours or by visiting the website troyhs.booktix.com. Tickets may also be purchased at the door each night.
