Tri-Village looking for a full-time 2nd shift custodian

NEW MADISON – Tri-Village currently has an opening for a full-time 2nd shift custodian.

Range of pay: $19.69 – $24.41
Hours: 1:00 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
Shift: 2nd Shift

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. High school graduate

2. Valid Ohio driver’s license

3. Solid verbal and written communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Sweep halls daily; mop and buff, as needed.

2. Vacuum sweep each classroom daily; spot clean carpet as needed.

3. Dust mop classrooms daily where there are wooden tile floors; wet mop as needed. 4. Wash windows inside as needed

5. Empty all trash containers daily.

6. Dust classroom surfaces and fixtures on a regular schedule.

7. Wash chalkboards as needed, but no less than once per week, or per teacher request.

8. Clean desktops on a regular basis.

9. Sweep gym floor daily; mop as necessary; sweep gym seating area as needed.

10. Clean drinking fountains daily.

11. Clean restrooms daily, including toilets, urinals, sinks, and floors. Keep restrooms supplied with paper products and soap.

12. Secure buildings upon departure.

13. Monitor boilers to be sure they are operating properly during daily operation.

14. Maintain all custodial storage areas in a neat condition.

15. Keep the custodial supply inventory in good condition and up to date, and report needs to the Custodial Supervisor.

16. Remove snow from steps and walks in the winter; apply ice melt as necessary.

17. Change light bulbs as needed.

18. Help unload freight deliveries to the school.

19. Keep the school grounds free of litter and other unsightly debris.

20. During the summer months, conduct a thorough cleaning of the school building in preparation for the next school year, performing a schedule list of such activities that include, but are not limited to, cleaning, painting, washing, waxing, sweeping, vacuuming, sealing, and other tasks related to building readiness.

21. Work as needed to assist the Maintenance and Custodial Supervisor as directed in certain light maintenance activities within the school building.

22. Perform work in observance of all OSHA standards.

23. Report in writing and in a timely manner to the Maintenance and Custodial Supervisor any needed maintenance tasks within the school building on school grounds.

24. Perform any other such tasks as identified by the Facilities Operations Supervisor and/or the Superintendent.
