GREENVILLE – In a touching tribute to Jase Blocher, the Treaty City Motorcycle Club, alongside Staci Blocher, hosted a memorable car and motorcycle show. The event, which attracted 101 entries and over 200 attendees, was organized to honor Jase’s legacy and support a cause dear to his heart.
Staci and Andrew Blocher lost their son, Jase, in a motorcycle accident. To help keep his memory alive Staci works hard to be a huge factor in putting events like this together, so her son’s memory will never be forgotten and to raise funds for a great cause that he would’ve cared about.
The show successfully raised $1,664 for Bark Animal Rescue, an organization chosen by Staci due to Jase’s deep affection for animals. “I’m happy it will help all these animals because I know he would’ve loved that,” Staci Blocher expressed with heartfelt emotion.
Bark Animal Rescue, approaching its 10th anniversary, cares for approximately 350 animals annually. The rescue is managed by Carla Hill-Clark, a retired Navy veteran, who dedicates her time to saving animals in need.
“It means a lot because I don’t get any type of funding,” Carla noted, highlighting the crucial role of such events for the organization’s survival.
The rescue relies heavily on donations, including those from its upcoming annual tent sale. The dates for the Bark Animal Rescue tent sale are September 25-28 and October 2-5, which constitute a significant portion of the funding for the year. Staci played a pivotal role in organizing the event by arranging advertisements and door prizes, while the Treaty City Motorcycle Club served as the backbone, hosting the event. Established in 1932, the club boasts around 100 members and is led by President Monty Sharp and Vice President James McClure. Other key members include Treasurer Dan Wolfe, Secretary Zac Coyer, PR representatives Luke Hueker and Jason Richey, Referee Sean Shumaker, Records Keeper Clayton Sheffer, Road Captain Kevin Whaley, Kitchen Manager Rick Perdue, and Janitor Jason Richey.
Monty Sharp, the club president, emphasized the club’s mission: “Part of what the club does is promote safe motorcycling and anything we can do to bring awareness is a good thing for the club.”
The club is also preparing for their significant family enduro event on September 21st. And they would love to see a great turnout of everyone’s support at the event.
This collaborative effort for the Car and Bike Show not only celebrated Jase’s life but also made a meaningful contribution to a cause he cherished, ensuring his legacy continues through the lives of rescued animals.
