PREBLE COUNTY – Deputies arrested two men from Indiana after a traffic stop led to the recovery of suspected methamphetamine. On May 10, 2025, at approximately 7:34 P.M., deputies stopped a 2014 Dodge Dart at East Main Street and Aukerman Street in Eaton for a license plate violation.
As deputies were attempting to pull the vehicle over, the passenger discarded an object out of the window. That item was immediately recovered and was found to be a baggie containing suspected methamphetamine. The vehicle stopped and the driver and passenger were identified.
During the course of the investigation, both the driver and passenger admitted that they had traveled to Montgomery County to purchase methamphetamine and were returning to Indiana. The bag of suspected methamphetamine weighed approximately 29 grams.
Both subjects were formally charged in Eaton Municipal Court.
The driver, Brandon Shopher (41) of Connersville, Indiana, has been charged with Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a 2nd Degree Felony, and Illegal Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a 4th Degree Misdemeanor.
The passenger, Brian Henson (36) of Milton, Indiana, has been charged with Aggravated Possession of Drugs, a 2nd Degree Felony, Tampering with Evidence, a 3rd Degree Felony, and Illegal Use or Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, a 4th Degree Misdemeanor.
Bond has been set by the court and both remain in the Preble County Jail.
