PREBLE COUNTY – On March 22 and March 28, deputies investigated two cases of breaking and entering that occurred in Jackson Township. These occurred in the 5900 and 8600 block of Crawfordsville Campbellstown Road during daytime hours.
On April 16, deputies had contact with a male suspect who admitted to taking a vehicle from a property and using it to take several engines to a scrap yard to sell them. The suspect then returned the vehicle to the original property. Deputies located a female suspect shortly thereafter and she was taken into custody as well.
On April 17, deputies filed formal charges in Eaton Municipal Court against both suspects.
Cody M. Thacker (32), who resides in Jackson Twp., was charged with Breaking & Entering, a 5th Degree Felony; Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, a 1st Degree Misdemeanor; Theft, a 1st Degree Misdemeanor; and Criminal Trespass, a 4th Degree Misdemeanor
Sara Hankins (45), also of Jackson Twp., was charged with Breaking and Entering, a 5th Degree Felony; Theft, a 1st Degree Misdemeanor; and Criminal Trespass, a 4th Degree Misdemeanor
Both suspects were arraigned in Eaton Municipal Court and have posted bond pending their next court appearance.
