GREENVILLE – This Wednesday evening, July 16th, at 7:00, Coach Steve Channell of the Green Wave Football program will be at the Stadium to meet with people, parents, and prospective players on the field. This is a chance for everyone in our city, and those surrounding, to see this venue!
It truly is state of the art, and as good as there is anywhere in Ohio. It’s not too late to get involved with the program. This is an easy offense and defense to learn, and we now have some very talented and established coaches helping. This truly is a new beginning, and we want the whole community involved!
Coach Channell is very passionate about the game of football. He has an established record of success. Coach Channell has over 200 career wins and multiple playoff appearances. At Edgewood High School, where he was for 21 years, he won 11 conference titles and had 10 playoff teams. At Miamisburg, he took over a program that hadn’t had a winning season since 2003. In his debut season, he notably improved the program, leading them to a 7-3 record. He then led them to four consecutive playoff appearances with a 52-24 overall record.
We have the coaches, we have the facilities, now we need the bodies! Coach needs 60-65 players to help. More men means more will play, and that will help with winning. Football is tough, but what it teaches, hard work, responsibility, teamwork, and pride in your accomplishments, are lifetime lessons.
Come on out Wednesday night and meet the man and his program. I think you will be impressed and want your son to participate. It is a new beginning here … be a part of it!!
