Recent months have gotten me to reflect on my past and dwell on what I want in my future.
It’s probably about time, since I’m aging daily.
So far, I’ve come up with the following:
Remember?
*When life was so simple when we were young and our parents were there for us and handled situations that we faced. There were not that many, but we knew they had our backs. Did I tell you we had the best parents?
*When we were healthy and had no cares in the world?
*When the 50s, 60s or 70s seemed so far away and now we’re facing it?
*When we were active…riding horses, running, roller skating and even walking? Now, I would be half afraid to try most of those activities for fear of falling. It’s bad enough watching Jamie’s wrestling matches on TV with grown men jumping from ropes around the ring to maim their opponent who is lying flat on the mat. Or, when they throw another person around in the ring and even hit and kick and clothesline their “enemy.” I’ve had a lot of back, knee, leg and feet trouble, so these moves are not what I want to witness.
*We’ve accumulated friends, which include family members, over the years, many of whom we are still in communication with and will always remember…..from childhood, fellow students, during our respective professions and even now when we continually meet someone we like to call friends.
Son Jamie, too, has many friends.
I just know, no matter what I’ve been through, I wouldn’t ever change my life. I have made wrong decisions and admit to them, but I have only myself to blame.
That’s called life, in my opinion.
My only hope is that I have made an impact on people I love, because I know people have made an impact on….people you know you can trust and truly call friends.

Jamie and I extend our condolences to the families of: Carol Ann Brown, Cheryl Moyers Munk, Donald Enis, Ralph Magee, Tom Littlepage, Helen Caldwell and Matthew Gantt.
