GREENVILLE—T-Mobile, in collaboration with the Darke County Chamber of Commerce, held a ribbon cutting in Greenville on Saturday afternoon to launch the new Darke County store front.
Store manager Dylan Marion said T-Mobile had a large presence in Greenville prior to this store opening.
“We’ve had customers that have had to travel pretty far to get service,” Marion said. “They had to go to Richmond, Englewood, Troy or Huber Heights. You’re traveling 45 minutes in any direction to be able to get service.”
He added that the company thought it would be great to expand into some of the rural and small town communities.
“Greenville kind of checked every box, and was a great fit,” he said.
The newly-opened T-Mobile is located on Wagner Avenue, in the old China Garden restaurant building.
Prior to its opening, the closest T-Mobile was located in Richmond, Indiana.
“I was thinking earlier this morning how fantastic it is that bigger businesses and companies are coming to Darke County,” Rachel Neal, Director of Darke County Chamber of Commerce said.
The management has already been very active within the community, Neal added.
“They’ve been to our After Hours meetings, and our annual meeting yesterday,” she said. “So right out of the gate they are showing a lot of interest in our community and the Chamber, which is a really awesome thing to have in Darke County.”
Following the ribbon cutting, the store held an open house until 2 p.m.
Greenville T-Mobile is located at 1303 Wagner Ave, Greenville, Ohio. They are open Monday to Thursday 11 a.m. to 6 p.m., Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
