Sally Ann Hampshire, age 90, of Versailles, passed away at 5:40 pm on Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at Hospice of Miami County in Troy.
Sally was born on August 18, 1934, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Ralph D. & Elvi (Donner) Wisner. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Donald Floyd Hampshire, on January 9, 2025, whom she married on August 18, 1951; daughter, Diane Sue Hampshire; siblings, Imogene & Bob Sanders, Dorothy & Bob Frazier and Robert Wisner.
Sally is survived by her sons & daughters-in-law, Donald Lee & Linda Hampshire of Versailles and Larry Dean & Pennie Hampshire of Versailles; grandson, Darryl Hampshire; sister-in-law, Betty Hampshire of Union City, Indiana; and special siblings, Mary Frazier of Greenville, Janie & Larry Young of New Weston, Richard & Patty Wisner of Union City, Ohio, and Phyllis Wisner of Union City, Ohio.
Sally taught for many years at North Star and Versailles Elementary Schools until her retirement.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Monday, March 17, 2025, at Bailey Zechar Funeral Home in Versailles, with Pastor Todd Reish officiating. Burial will follow in Lisbon Cemetery, Union City, Indiana. The family will receive friends on Monday from 12:00 to 2:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Versailles EMS.
