Roger Lee Walls passed away peacefully at his home in Greenville, Ohio, at the age of 95. He owned and raised many successful racehorses over a span of 40 years.
He, along with his brother Jim, owned and operated Walls Bros. from 1961 to 1991. After selling, Roger stayed on as a consultant of heavy equipment until he was 72 in 2004. He served in the Korean War for two years and was a longtime member of EUM Church in Greenville.
He was loved by all his family and friends who knew him. He will be missed by all who knew him.
He is preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Jean Walls, his brother Jim, his mother and father, Walt and Lily Walls.
His current surviving family are son Bruce Walls, grandson Dalton Walls, Sister Barbara Murphy, and in-law Carol Walls.
A service will be held on Wednesday, February 14, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Pastor Nick Good officiating. Burial will follow in Greenville Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM on Wednesday at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may be made to EUM Church.
