Robert (Bob) Rexrode of Bradford (92)

Robert (Bob) Rexrode went home to be with the Lord and the love of his life on October 13, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Nellie Edwards and Howard Paul Rexrode in Bradford, OH, on October 24, 1930. 

Bob is preceded in death by his wife, Patricia Rexrode; son, Bryan Robert Popp; grandson, Lester Paul Rexrode; sister, Pauline Manson; and brothers Howard and Eugene Rexrode. 

Bob is survived by his daughters Susan Frazier; Vicky Rexrode; Karen (Tim) Nichols; Gail Flatter; and Lisa (Louie) Garland; grandchildren Jenny (Jim) Pope; David Frazier; Preston Frazier; Robert Allen (Tonia) Rexrode; Anthony Farley; Amanda (Michael) Dyson; Tyler (Candace) Garland; Kaylee (Travis) Frech; Reanna (Dalton Lindemuth) Garland; numerous great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; and his two cats, Blackie & Flaufi. 

Bob was a farmer and welder. He retired from the Brethren Retirement Community in 1997 and was a former Liberty Township trustee. Bob loved spending his free time hanging out at Ron’s Garage, Tolly’s, SVG, and visiting with his special friends at the Brethren Retirement Community. Bob was a collector of any and all things Chevy or Farmall and loved going to tractor shows and watching NASCAR races.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Pam Hammons for the love and care she provided to our father and grandfather. They would also like to thank the staff at Brethren Retirement Community, Wayne Healthcare, and Everheart Hospice for the care they provided, especially Tim Ellis, for being our rock.

Services will be held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at 2:30 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio, with Eric Laux officiating. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM on Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice.
