Richard R. “Dick” Marker, age 84, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away at 5:04 AM Monday, August 7, 2023, at his residence.  Dick was born December 30, 1938, in Greenville and was the only child of the late Kenneth and Freda (Zeller) Marker.

Dick had worked at B.F. Goodrich, Corning Glass Works, and retired from Williamson’s Insurance Agency of Greenville.  He also was the owner of Marker’s Dairy Dream from 1969 until the early 1980s.  Following his retirement, he moved to Ft. Myers, Florida, where he worked part-time at Heritage Palms and River Hall Golf Courses and became known as “The Cart Czar.”

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son Scott Marker and his best friend Robert “Bob” Williamson.

Dick is survived by his children Kent (Chin Hui) Marker of Severn, Maryland and Vicki Meinerding of Greenville; grandchildren Heather (Joe) Sowers, Brandon (Abby) Drew, Courtney (Brent) Lephart, and Macie (Rhodey) Shane as well as great-grandchildren Brinley, Jaxson and Aubrey Sowers, Grace, Annie and John Lephart and Pyper and Lainy Shane.

A Celebration of Life will be scheduled at a later date.
