DARKE COUNTY – Do you enjoy trying new things? Do you like to interact with animals of all sizes? Are you interested in crafts or culinary arts? Then, the Trails and Tails 4-H Club is the place for you!

The Trails and Tails 4-H Club is a Darke County club that offers members the opportunity to participate in any project they desire, livestock or not! In the club, we challenge members to try new projects and expand their knowledge of what they already participate in. We have five advisors with different backgrounds to offer a diverse knowledge range that members can use as a resource as they work on their projects.

The Trails and Tails 4-H Club was rated a Gold Club for the year of 2022 and hopes to receive the rating again for the year 2023! To be a gold club, your members and advisors must go above and beyond the basics, and that’s just what we did. We make an effort to participate in community events and offer our services as much as possible.

We want kids to not only learn skills from their projects but also life skills and want to give back to their community. We encourage members to be youth leaders through officer positions, Jr. Fair Board, Committees, Camp Counselors and so much more!

We also offer a cloverbud program! Cloverbud eligibility is a minimum of 5 years of age and in kindergarten as of January 1st. To become a 4-H member, eligibility is a minimum of 8 years old and in 3rd grade through 18 years of age as of January 1.

Monthly club meetings are on the third Monday of each month, located at the Darke Co. Fair Youth Building, starting at 7 pm. Enrolment is due April 1st to be eligible to participate in the fair review.
