GREENVILLE – Greenville senior, No. 9 Kindyl Peltz, broke the Lady Wave varsity service ace record on the road in a 3-0 MVL Thursday night win over the Stebbins Lady Indians.

“Kindyl is very passionate about volleyball, passionate about her own game,” said Greenville coach Michelle Hardesty. “We appreciate what she has been doing for Greenville Volleyball.”

Pelt passed Libby Mckenny’s class of 2021 record of 166 aces to become the Lady Waves’ all-time service ace leader.

“Kindyl has been chasing the ace serve record that Libby McKenny originally set,” Hardesty noted. “The record is at 169 now and counting.”

“We were at Stebbins, and we knew Kindyl needed three; she was three behind, so she broke the record on the road, but we wanted to celebrate her here at home,” added Coach Hardesty.

Peltz is not done with her chase for another Lady Wave volleyball record with 12 Lady Wave regular-season varsity matches before OHSAA tournament play begins.

“Kindyl sees records, and she is going after them,” Coach Hardesty stated. “We’re still chasing another one before the end of the season, the career assists leader, also a Libby Mckenny record.”
