Patricia Ann McCarthy, 82, of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Monday May 15, 2023 at 8:48 AM at Village Green Health Campus.
Pat was born December 29, 1940 in Corning, New York, the daughter of the late William Joseph and Florence Althea (Cutler) McCarthy.
Pat helped her grandmother in the Gift Shop, then she worked as a teacher for 30 years, then after retirement she was a substitute teacher; she worked several other jobs throughout her years including working at the Library, babysitting, she was a tutor, a writer, and an instructor at the Institute of Children’s Literature Instructor. Pat was a graduate of Wright State University and Miami University; she was a member of Oakland Church of the Brethren where she served on the church board, youth group, and taught Sunday school; she was also a member of the Darke County Birders, the Focus Photo Club of Dayton; and she was Noah Backs number 1 fan.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents; her brother in law, Randy Reall; and her nephew: Tim Ullery. Pat is survived by her sister, Kay Reall of Greenville; her niece, Tina Ullery of Greenville; her great niece and nephew, Heather Ullery, and Adam Ullery; and her great great nieces and nephews, Carson(Cecilee), Madison, Kolton, Blake, and Cohen; and her cats, Timmy, and Katie; and great great niece, Sayge.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Friday May 19, 2023 at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio. Memorial contributions may made to the Darke County Park District.
