Opioid settlement larger than initially anticipated

DARKE COUNTY – The Darke County Commissioners’ October 14, 2025, regular meeting started at 1:30 p.m. with Commissioners Aultman, Flatter, and Combs present. The Commissioners then approved the minutes from October 9th and 14th. The examination and allowance of bills totaled $21,988.21 for the General fund, $57,731.66 for outside funds, and $79,919.95, all of which were approved.

The Commissioners had a fund advance back for 2025 appropriations totaling $480,000.

There was an Appropriation increase from the opioid settlement. More money than expected from various distributors made an appropriation increase of $154,391.66.

The Darke County Animal Shelter received a proclamation from the Commissioners for “Adopt a Shelter Dog” Month.
