GREENVILLE – Greenville Public Library’s Children’s Department has a full lineup of programs and activities planned for children and families throughout October.
The library’s special Daniel Tiger & Friends Storytimes will continue through October 21, with storytimes held Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 11 a.m. Beginning September 15, these six weeks of special storytimes, presented in partnership with PBS KIDS, feature stories, songs, activities and plenty of fun with Daniel Tiger and his friends. The program was brought to the library through the hard work of Children’s Librarian Ms. Ashley.
The Children’s Department will also offer several opportunities for kids to create, build and celebrate throughout the month.
LEGO Club will meet Thursday, October 1, at 4:30 p.m. Children of all ages are welcome to join in for an afternoon of building, creativity and LEGO fun.
On Thursday, October 8, at 4:30 p.m., Kids Art Club will meet for its monthly program designed especially for children ages 8–12. Led by Ms. Ashley, the new program gives young artists an opportunity to explore their creativity through hands-on art projects.
The month will conclude with a festive Pumpkin Carving Party on Thursday, October 15, at 4:30 p.m. Children of all ages are invited to join the library for an afternoon of pumpkin carving and decorating fall fun. Registration is required, and space is limited.
