GREENVILLE – The Darke County Visitors Bureau is now accepting nominations for the 2026 Distinctly Darke County Tourism Awards, honoring individuals, organizations, festivals and destinations that help make Darke County a welcoming, vibrant and truly distinctive place to visit.
The awards will be presented during the county-wide tourism collaborative, “Distinctly Darke County- Sharing Tourism Together,” on October 22, 2026, at the newly opened John & Iris Hathaway Education & Community Center in Greenville.
“These awards celebrate the pride, positivity, passion, and dedication that define Darke County’s tourism community, “said Greg Billing, Executive Director of the Darke County Visitors Bureau. “We want to recognize partners who go above and beyond to ensure visitors feel the authenticity and hospitality that make our county so special.”
Nominees should demonstrate outstanding contributions to Darke County’s tourism landscape, including efforts that strengthen visitor experience, elevate community spirit, or showcase the unique character of the county. Specific examples, projects, or stories illustrating why the nominee is deserving are strongly encouraged.
Tourism partners, community organizations, event organizers, and residents are encouraged to participate in this nomination process. All nominations must be received by September 22, 2026
