DARKE COUNTY – May is Older Americans Month and all of our counties have named their Outstanding Senior Citizen.
Darke County had an amazing woman named Nola Coning (89) of Greenville as their winner.
She has worked and volunteered for several companies and organizations throughout her life, including The Great Darke County Fair for 20 years, a team leader at EGT for 13 years, Fram for 2 years and volunteered at Prairie Days for over 4 years.
Nola and her husband Paul Coning lived on a farm in Darke County for most of their lives before she moved to Greenville 2 years ago.
While living at their farm, Nola and Paul hosted an open house every Christmas for friends and family.
