NEW MADISON – The Village of New Madison held a Wednesday morning ribbon cutting for its new New Madison Fourth of July Community Gazebo thanks to the generous donations from The Farmers State Bank, Endurance Property Group LLC, Flaig Lumber, and Flory Landscaping & Lawn Care.
“This structure is a wonderful asset for those who want to hold community events down here,” said New Madison Mayor Eric Burns. “We are trying to do upgrades to the park, do some more work on the sidewalks, and the infrastructure of the community.”
Eric Fee of Tribute Funeral Homes played a key role in spearheading the project for the community.
“New Madison is a great community,” said Fee. “Everybody came together, the sponsors were amazing, and just in time for the Fourth of July. This weekend, they will be using it for three wonderful bands. This is a great community project that will get a lot of use. For a small town, it is a close-knit community that gets things done.”
Jon Sando, owner of Endurance Property Group LLC, donated all the labor for the project.
“They were in need, and I felt a calling to do it,” Sando stated. “Eric and I go to church together, and I felt led to do it; it was something I was supposed to do.”
Flory Landscaping & Lawn Care provided the landscaping for the project at no charge to the community, and Flaig Lumber donated the building materials.
“My sister and I are Tri-Village graduates,” said Grant Flory. “We like to give back to the community that gave to us.”
