Neil W. Bryson, age 66, of Greenville, passed away at 7:01 am Monday, February 19, 2024, at Miami Valley Hospital in Dayton.
Neil was born March 8, 1957, in Greenville to the late Marvin & Martha (Witters) Bryson. Neil is also preceded in death by his wife, Dian L. (Wellman) Bryson, on November 23, 2016, whom he married August 15, 1981; father-in-law, Leroy Wellman; brother, Larry Bryson; sisters, Vicky Grillot and Edith Hunt; and brother-in-law, Robert Wellman.
Neil is survived by his children, Benjamin & Rebekah Bryson of Avon Lake, Lindsey & Andrew Cizmar of Avon Lake, and Seth Bryson of Greenville; grandchildren, Adalynn Bryson, Leviticus Bryson, Clara Cizmar, Amelia Cizmar, and Norah Cizmar; mother-in-law, Jean Wellman of Greenville; siblings, Janet Mitchum of Texas, Connie Greene of Piqua, Deborah Newman of Ansonia and Eugene Bryson of Greenville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Neil retired from CSX Railroad in 2017. He was a longtime member of BMWE and CRSF Lodge # 1975, where he served as Secretary and Treasurer. Neil enjoyed Fantasy Football and tinkering around working with his hands.
A celebration of Neil’s life will be held at 5:00 pm Friday, February 23, 2024, at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home in Greenville. The family will receive friends on Friday from 3:00 to 5:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice in Greenville.
