Nancy Jane Young, age 83, of Arcanum, passed away on Saturday, March 16, 2024, at Oakley Place Assisted Living.
She was born on August 15, 1940, to the late Deo and Kathryn Moore.
In addition to her parents, Nancy is preceded in death by her loving husband, Paul Young, and son-in-law, Kent Fourman.
Nancy is survived by her children, Denise (Ty) Schepis and Darin Young (Angela Lyme); and grandchildren, Kody (Skylar) Fourman, Shelby (Kevin) Jackson, Macy Schepis (Parker Bridenbaugh), Kayla (Erik) Hult, Krystal (Josh) Fasick, and Jarin (Ariana) Young.
She retired from Franklin Monroe Elementary School, where she worked from 1975 to 2001. Nancy enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She cherished being a mother and wife; she and Paul were inseparable.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 AM- 12:00 PM on Thursday, March 21, 2024 at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville. A funeral service will be at 12:00 PM on Thursday at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mote Cemetery. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Alzheimer Association.
