GREENVILLE – Each year Greenville Track & Field Head Coach Bill Plessinger rewards his campers and leaders with a pool party at the end of the week.

Normally, the funds for this fun event come out of the GHS Track & Field program budget. This year, the My County Link team wanted to give them some help and donate $250 for the pool party.

“It is spectacular that My County Link footed the bill for our pool party. The money we use for the pool goes to buy supplies and equipment during the season, shot puts, discs, and batons so that’s $250 back in the kitty that buys us 10 batons and shot and disc so it is outstanding and it is so appreciated because we don’t have a huge budget so every penny counts and the coverage that My County Link provides is awesome,” said Coach Plessinger. “I went home last night and looked at the camp pictures and it is so great because running the camp I don’t get to see everything that goes on every moment and when I get to look at a snapshot of the whole day!”

The five-day camp had more than 100 campers this year. With the temperatures to reach back up near 90 degrees on Friday, a refreshing pool party is sure to hit the spot!

“Dale Barger, myself and the rest of the My County Link team are pleased to help Coach “P” and the Greenville Track & Field program,” said My County Link Editor Gaylen Blosser. “Coach Plessinger and his staff including high school helpers put in long hours making the annual five-day camp a success closing out with a Friday fun day at the Greenville City Park swimming pool.”
