COLUMBUS – On Wednesday, September 24th, four students from the Mississinawa Valley MVCTC FFA chapter went to Columbus and visited the Ohio Statehouse Atrium.
Ty Houser, Brennan Manning, Abigail Keuper, and Brooklynn Seubert attended an event regarding Ohio FFA members and education about agricultural advocacy by participating in mock lobbying sessions and meeting with state legislators to discuss important agricultural issues.
They participated in a simulation of lobbying, aiming to get a motion passed by legislation. Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations and Soil Testing were both topics that MV FFA members discussed and brought up for consideration.
Overall, it was a successful day in Columbus and our four participating members had a great time!
